Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the most recognizable of the modalities in East Asian medicine. Acupuncture is effective for pain, most famously, but is also effective for a broad range of acute and chronic conditions. Acupuncture relies on unique Chinese medical science, Chinese medicine diagnostics, and treatment strategies in order to help patients achieve a state of greater balance and ease.
Community Acupuncture
Community Acupuncture ($30). A 45 minute treatment in a group setting, offered once a month.
Not billable to insurance.
A very limited intake will be taken by your practitioner to assess your needs for the day, followed by insertion of needles and time to allow you to rest.
Chinese Herbalism
Chinese Herbalism is the use of botanical, mineral and ocassionally animal substances from the Chinese pharmacoepia to help prevent and treat illness. Chinese Herbs are usually prescribed in combinations called "formulas" and dispensed in pill, capsule or tea form.
Qigong
Qigong is a holistic movement modality that also includes philosophical, nutritional and other areas of focus to contribute to overall health and wellness. Qigong classes involve various movements, as well as standing and seated poses, usually linked together in a specific sequence. Qigong is suitable for all ages and ability levels, and is best done in loose fitting, comfortable clothes. No prior experience is necessary.
Skin Care
The Watershed Wellness facial is designed around complete health and wellness for the entire body.
We know that each client’s skin care needs are unique. Using a combination of fresh organic products, wild-harvested flowers, herbs and seeds straight from the Pacific Northwest, and a nourishing blend of Hungarian and traditional facial massage techniques, we craft treatments like none other. All facials change seasonally, to reflect the most potent ingredients that nature has to offer. Clients new to Watershed Wellness facials will receive an email follow-up and on-going regimen recommendations after their first facial.
Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy is an umbrella term that refers to many approaches and modalities that all work with the musculoskeletal system to reduce pain & tension and improve mobility. At Watershed Wellness we combine therapeutic and more relaxation oriented techniques in a way that benefits a wide variety of conditions.
Naturopathic Medicine
**New patient inquiries please call to schedule - even if you've seen another practitioner in the clinic for massage or acupuncture - please do not book a follow-up appointment**
Naturopathic medicine is a holistic approach to healthcare that blends traditional healing methods with modern scientific principles, promoting the body's inherent ability to heal itself. Naturopathic doctors (NDs) emphasize personalized treatment plans that address the root cause of illnesses rather than merely alleviating symptoms. Treatments may include herbal medicine, supplements, dietary & lifestyle advice and homeopathic remedies, but can also include pharmaceuticals or surgical interventions. In Oregon, NDs can function as primary care physicians.
